Accommodation For the More Independent Student

Residences (based on availability) may be suitable for students who wish to have a greater degree of independence than offered in a homestay and keep accommodation costs down. In residence type accommodation you are provided with a private room and shared bathroom, kitchen and living area. You must provide for your own meals.

You have a choice of two types of residences - Basic Resdences (shared house) and Standard Residences

Standard Residences: are mainly located in the city centre, close to the school, and affiliated with universities. Almost all standard residences are available in the summer only from late May to the middle of August. Standard Residences - Price and Availability Guide

Basic Residences: are in private homes in which either the whole house or one floor is dedicated to student accommodation with self-catering facilities. Basic residences are not in the city centre and are on average 40 minutes away from Quest by public transit.

While we will do our best to place students in residence of their choice, all residence are subject to availability.

  • The location of basic residences varies but they are all generally within 30 to 55 minutes of Quest and the city centre by public transport.

  • If you are looking for affordable, clean residence type accommodation that is available all year, basic residences are your best choice.

  • Your only other choice for year round residence accommodation is The Residence. If you are coming in the summer see summer residences in the menu.

  • At least two to three weeks prior to your arrival we will send you complete accommodation information, including: details about location, pictures (outside and inside) and nearby transportation. See sample profile on right.
