TOEFL Preparation Program
A Focused Workshop- periods 3 and 4

TOEFL Preparation Course
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required for entrance to most North American universities and colleges by nonnative English speakers. The Quest TOEFL program will prepare you to meet the requirements of the TOEFL exam.

Course Components:s

The course emphasizes the four main components of the TOEFL: listening comprehension, grammar structure, written expression, and vocabulary. In addition to your primary text you will work with a variety of material, including audio exercises and computer programs to ensure your success on the TOEFL.

Non-test review classes on grammar, vocabulary and writing will ensure that you have a solid foundation for the exam. Skills and Strategies for each of the sections of the test are provided with clearly defined steps to improve performance on the test. Complete Tests, in both paper and computer format for the TOEFL, will allow you the experience of taking actual exam tests with all of the sections together in one complete test.

The primary objective of the Quest Exam Programs is to prepare students for examination success and not to teach everyday English. As such, an entrance test to determine sufficient knowledge of English is required.

Program includes:

  • Weekly testing
  • Daily assignments
  • Group study outside of class time
  • Required computer practice both in and outside of class time.
  • Minimum attendance of 80% of classes

The Internet based TOEFL iBT test: this test can be written at anytime in Toronto by first making an appointment. Due to high demand reservations should be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
