The Career Advantage Programs (CAP) provide students with the unique opportunity to study English and gain valuable work experience in an English speaking work environment that will improve their English and enhance their career opportunities.
Students are placed with established Canadian and international companies based on their educational background, work experience and career objectives. Various fields (see back page) are available. Students are monitored throughout the entire program to ensure a successful internship.

Business Internship CAP (paid work placement)
This program combines our Business Diploma Program with a paid internship placement. This enables students to practice and develop their English skills to effectively function in an English speaking or international workplace and enhance their career opportunities.
The program is offered in durations of 4 to 12 months. Fifty percent of the program must involve Intensive (25 hours per week) English study - no exceptions. At reaching level 7 or higher students must complete at minimum 4 weeks of the Business Diploma Program.
Minimum compensation for this stage averages $900 to $1000 per month.

Special Visa Requirement: All applicants for this program must obtain a study permit (regardless of the duration of study) and then a work permit. The work permit is normally obtained in Canada. Students will be provided with the application form and assistance in submitting it when they start classes.
Advantage CAP (Unpaid work placement)
Although this program is unpaid, it provides students with the best opportunity and flexibility in terms of job placement and duration of study. It is an especially attractive program for students looking for short to medium term internships providing valuable English practice and workplace experience.
In addition to private firms, opportunities are also available with voluntary non-profit organizations for interested students. Minimum registration is 6 weeks (2 weeks of study, 4 weeks of internship). A minimum of 2 weeks intensive study (25 hours per week) is required in any Core Program per 12 weeks or less of internship.

- Placement fee: $1000.00.
- Duration: Minimum duration: 6 weeks. Maximum duration: 24 weeks.

Working Holiday CAP
This program is specifically designed for Working Holiday Visa holders. In addition to developing English skills and job placement, students are provided with support throughout their entire time in Canada. During their internship, students may continue to use school facilities and equipment, attend activities and seek general counselling as needed.
Those wishing to obtain a Working Holiday Visa must be between the ages of 18 - 35 years old and be a citizen of one of the following countries:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Ireland, Japan, Korea (Republic of), Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain,
New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
Visas are normally released once per year and should be applied for well in advance. Contact your country’s Canadian Embassy office or visit their website for more details and application forms.
