Advanced Academic English -
A Pathway Course (more information)

If you have plans to pursue higher studies in English at the college or university level this is the right program for you. After successfully completing this program you may take the Quest Pathway examination (free of charge) and be eligible to enter into one of numerous college programs available at one of our partner colelges. All partner colleges are government accredited and offer credit programs.

This program is intended for students who already have an advanced level of English. Students lacking the language skills to enter this program are advised to first enroll in our Core ESL program and complete at least up to level 500 before entering this program (see level descriptions below).

The aim of this program is to raise your language skills to near fluency level so that you will be prepared to meet the demands of college or university level programs. To this end you will participate in presentations and debates, write essays and research papers and learn to listen and read critically.

Upon completion of the course you will have highly tuned your analytical and presentation skills in English to near fluency. You will be able to structure your writing and speaking skills for the greatest impact and develop your reading and listening skills for quickly scanning for ideas, facts and the nuances of intonations and stress. Your English will be at a level where you will be able take on the challenges of an English college or university program without great difficulty.
