The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is served by 10 public transit systems. The biggest of the 10, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), is the second largest transit system in North America after New York. More than one million passengers use 2,300 buses, streetcars and subway trains that operate daily on 6,480 km of routes.

Fares
  • Single ride on the system cost $3.00
  • 5 tickets: $12.50 ($2.50 per ride)
  • 10 tickets: $25.00 ($2.50 per ride)
  • Monthly unlimited use transit pass: $121.00
  • Weekly unlimited use transit pass: $36.00

Student discounts: Student discounts are not available to international students unless you are registered at a recognized public university or college.
